Wild Isles

I visited some of Scotland’s wild isles as part of an artist’s residency with Sail Britain. The experience was a mixture of joy and grief as we discovered the wild beauty of the islands and the tragedy of environmental disaster that threatens the animals of these remote places.

The hand-made inks used are made from copper, nettles, oak gall and iron, red cabbage, turmeric and beetroot. I also use salt and vinegar, gum arabic and clove oil.
